Luke McFadyen

Luke will complete a double degree of Commerce (economics) and Science (human biology) at Notre Dame University in November 2009. He will be completing summer vacation work in 2008/2009 at the Auditor General's office and KPMG.

Luke attended the History of Economic Thought Society (HETSA) conference in Sydney in July 2008, the John Lee dinner at the Weld club in August 2008 and the IPA/Mannkal Harold Clough in September 2008.

Luke wrote a paper titled “The Viennese influence on Schumpeter”. It is a biographical paper analysing how 19th century Vienna and its liberal society helped shaped one of the most influential, yet often forgotten, Austrian and Harvard economists of the past century, Joseph Schumpeter.
