Louise Burns
Louise graduated with First Class Honours in Economics from Curtin University and is now working at the Department of Treasury and Finance within Treasury's economic reform division.
Louise completed a double degree majoring in Politics/International Relations and Economics in 2008. Following this, she received the Mannkal Honours Scholarship in 2009 to assist her in completing her studies. She conducted a study on the First Home Buyer Grants as part of this Scholarship.
Louise attended the 2009 History of Economic Thought (HETSA) Conference in July as a Mannkal Scholar. As part of the Scholarship offered by Mannkal, Louise submitted a report on a presentation of her choice. The presentation she selected was titled ‘Trade in a Messy World: Three Studies in Jacob Viner’s International Economics’ by Paul Oslington.
