Marcus Suresh

In 2008 Marcus obtained a double degree in Economics and Commerce from Murdoch University. He is now currently studying for his Honours Degree in Economics at Murdoch University. He expects to start his PhD in Economics in 2010 at Murdoch Univeristy.

Marcus has been awarded the 2008 Vice Chancellors Commendation for Academic Excellence and also the Western Australia Chinese Chamber of Commerce prize. Marcus currently works for the ANZ on a part time basis.

As a Mannkal Scholar, Marcus attended the History of Economic Thought conference, hosted by the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in July 2009. Marcus submitted a paper based on Dr Tony Aspromourgos' presentation on Adam Smith's Universal Opulence.

Marcus also received a Mannkal Scholarship to attend The Australian Climate Science Coalition Luncheon 2009, which was hosted by Mannkal. Marcus submitted a paper entitled "An Inquiry into Global Warming and Carbon Emissions from Human Activities: Reality, or should we simply move on from any false assumption" as part of the Scholarship.
